About the role:

Samsara is looking for a bi-lingual People Partner Generalist (English and Spanish), based in Mexico to support our growing G&A functions across North America. The People Partner Generalist is a vital part of the People team, who is responsible for partnering with the business during the day-to-day People operations. This individual will be focused on executing along our people processes with a focus on scaling and iterating. This person will be expected to work closely with the People Partners to ensure we execute on the articulated strategy of the functions. 

This is a remote position open to candidates based in Mexico City, Mexico. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this role.

In this role, you will: 

  • Provide bilingual (English/Spanish) HR support to North America G&A teams, ensuring seamless communication and effective problem-solving.
  • Partner with Centers of Excellence (Learning, Performance, ER, Ops, etc.) to align people programs with business priorities.
  • Execute and improve key people processes, including performance cycles, engagement surveys, and talent reviews, focusing on efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Analyze HR data to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making with support from team.
  • Conduct process reviews and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and stakeholder alignment.
  • Provide timely and accurate HR consultation to managers and employees, resolving issues with sound judgment.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, focusing on scalability and efficiency.
  • Track team OKRs and identify potential challenges.
  • Contribute to team priority setting and organization.
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 1+ year of professional experience in HR, employee relations, or a related field, with experience supporting teams in fast-paced, cross-functional environments (management consulting experience considered).
  • 2+ years of overall professional experience.
  • Fluency in both English (C2 level preferred) and Spanish (written and spoken).
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Google Sheets, Excel), including vlookups.
  • Ability to work in our Mexico City office 2-3 days per week.

An ideal candidate also has:

  • Strong bias for action and a "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude.
  • Knowledge of Mexican labor law ("Ley Federal del Trabajo") and experience applying it in a professional setting.
  • Experience using data to drive insights and action.
  • Proficiency with project management tools.
  • Consulting, coaching, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
