I am proud to share that Samsara has been recognized on Fast Company's 2023 Best Workplaces for Innovators list, which honors organizations and businesses that demonstrate an inspiring commitment to encourage and develop innovation at all levels. Samsara is driving the digital transformation of physical operations, and employees have a unique opportunity to shape what the future of these critical industries looks like. Our employees are the builders behind the technology that saves lives and makes our environment greener. We’re only scratching the surface of what’s possible and will continue to foster an environment innovative thinkers can thrive in.

Adopting a growth mindset.

Samsara has programs available to help employees uplevel their skills, stretch themselves in new areas of work, and give them space to innovate. Below are just a few of the programs that help foster a culture of innovation at Samsara.

<span style="color:#0384FB; font-weight:bold">Owl Connected Mentorship: Our mentorship program is open to all Samsarians who would like a mentor or mentee based on their skills, goals, and preferences. These mentorships span six months and give employees the opportunity to network, problem-solve, and gain knowledge and career advice from a senior Samsarian. This mentorship program helps foster connection across teams, locations, and seniority, while providing tools for employees to grow their skills and explore career opportunities.

<span style="color:#0384FB; font-weight:bold">Emerging Talent Rotational Program: Our rotation program is designed for new college graduates who join Samsara interested in a specific field. The program kicks off with a boot camp and includes baseline training to lay the foundation for a successful career. Each rotation provides varied experiences within departments—empowering new graduates to work on impactful projects that provide real impact to Samsara customers. This program helps ramp up our newest Samsarians and offers extensive training, hands-on experience, exposure to our leadership team, and consistent career conversations to prepare them for their permanent placement.

<span style="color:#0384FB; font-weight:bold">Hacksara: Twice a year, Samsara’s Research and Development organization hosts our hackathon, “Hacksara,” where engineers, product managers, and designers are encouraged to take a few days off from their regular schedule and work on something Samsara-related that excites them. The hackathon teams brainstorm ideas to elevate our technology, collaborate on unique projects, share their learnings, and win prizes. Many ideas that originated during "Hacksara" have turned into real features rolled out to our customers.

Empowering people to work the way they work best.

In 2021, Samsara decided to move to a flexible way of working—meaning individuals and teams decide when and how often they come into an office—and we have not looked back since. Our goal is to empower Samsarians to work in the way that best suits their needs, so they can feel connected, productive, and collaborative. We provide at-home office equipment, office space in our nine global locations, and co-working spaces to accommodate all employees—fully remote, hybrid, or in the office. Our priority is to support our employees in bringing their best selves to work, enabling collaboration and innovation for each individual, so we can deliver the best possible solutions for our customers.
