Samsara’s intelligent cameras and immediate harsh event alerts have helped Abbey Travel process insurance claims faster and reduce costs. When an incident occurs, filing an insurance claim within the ‘Golden Hour’ can protect fleets. Before Samsara, Abbey Travel sometimes wouldn’t get the data from an incident back for a week. Now, the company can submit all of the paperwork, along with footage, location and g-force data, within minutes, ensuring they aren’t penalised.

£250,000 SAVED BY EXONERATING A DRIVER
Moore Food Distributors delivers food to local restaurants, hotels, schools, and churches. In 2017, Samsara helped Moore Food save more than £250,000 after a major accident occurred. One of their trucks was traveling on the highway at 65 mph when a car struck it and caused the truck to tip over, pass through the guardrail, and fall down an embankment. Because Samsara automatically retrieves dash cam footage of harsh incidents, Moore Food was able to send video files to law enforcement and insurance companies within five minutes of the accident, successfully protecting their driver from blame.

Simco Logistics is one of the largest ice cream distributors in the Mid-Atlantic. After implementing a video-based safety program with Samsara dash cams and driver coaching tools, Simco saw a 50% decrease in accidents and 60% decrease in accident-related costs.
