CEO & Co-Founder
We just wrapped up an energizing week at our second annual Samsara Beyond conference in Austin, Texas! It was a busy two days and I’m still reflecting on some of the learnings and ideas from the great conversations I had with our customers.
As you all probably know, we’re big on data here at Samsara. The data that I was most excited to share at Beyond was on our impact for our customers. Last year alone, we:
Prevented 120,000 accidents, protecting our customers’ frontline workers and communities
Digitized 110 million workflows, saving employees countless hours that are better spent on training, upskilling, and other tasks
Reduced 130 million idling hours, saving millions of dollars and helping reduce emissions for our planet (for a customer cohort)
This impact at scale makes me proud! We also got to recognize and celebrate our customers at our Connected Operations™ Award ceremony. These winners are truly changing the world of physical operations. Congratulations to:
Safest Operator: The Rasmussen Group
Excellence in Efficiency: XPO
Most Sustainable Operations: Sobeys
Operations Innovator: DHL (DHL Supply Chain & DHL Express)
Digital Transformation of the Year: Foundation Building Materials
Excellence in Performance - Government: City of Memphis
Excellence in Performance - Education: Gwinnett County Public Schools
Ecosystem Partner of the Year: Drivewyze
Technology Leader of the Year: American Airlines, Antonello Davi
Top Driver: RelaDyne, Robert Chidester
I got to bring this together and share my vision of Connected Operations on the main stage during my keynote. In case you missed it, I talk about how data and AI are transforming the world of physical operations now, and the organizations that unlock their data to empower their people will come out on top. Our customers are using data and AI on our platform to make the jobs of their frontline workers easier, safer, and more efficient, which helps increase retention and makes these jobs more attractive, among many other things. As we focus on reshaping the worker experience, we announced some new product offerings that put the employee front and center by making the way people work more personalized, connected, and integrated.
We also announced our investment in the Connected Operations ecosystem with Samsara Ventures, our new investment fund to support visionary companies building innovative solutions. If you’d like to see a replay of one of our portfolio companies, Polymath Robotics, remotely operating a tractor 1,000 miles away live from our stage, you won’t be disappointed.
It was a great week, and I want to say thank you to all of our customers, partners, and Samsarians who made Beyond such a success!
