Senior Vice President, EMEA
This month Samsara announced further international expansion with the addition of our Amsterdam office. It’s an exciting time and a significant step in our EMEA expansion as the office will serve as our hub for the Benelux region.
In May 2018, our first international office in London housed a small but driven team of 11 people. Fast forward to October 2019 and we’d opened with more than 150 employees. This continued expansion further develops our ability to deliver world-class service to our customers, as well as growing our world-class employee base.
My own journey at Samsara started in April 2021, but it was clear the company was already on a hyper-growth path, truly transforming the world of physical operations.
In the past year alone, we have seen significant growth in our European customer base, and I knew we had an exceptional platform to scale our team, customer base and solutions. With the new Amsterdam office, we’ve done just that.
Hot on the heels of Samsara’s IPO in December 2021, when we , we now have a physical presence to support the Benelux region.
While our sales, support and business operations have already scaled to countries across Europe , the new Amsterdam office reinforces our key commitment: to get closer to our customers.
We work with organisations that are reliant on physical operations, so we must meet our customers where they are, shadow their teams, understand their work and their challenges in the field. That’s why we are seen as a true partner to so many organisations as they navigate their digital transformation journey.
The ability to deliver world-class service to our customers at a local level, with a strong team that understands the nuances of the EMEA region, is crucial for Samsara to become the Connected Operations partner of choice.
As we close our first quarter as a public company, the opening of the Amsterdam office is just the start of a new growth phase for Samsara.
Our mission is to increase the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of the operations that power our economy, from construction and field services, to transportation and logistics. With trends including rising fuel costs, driver safety, reforms to the EU’s Mobility Package, driver shortages and the electrification of fleets, this has never been more vital in Europe.
In the coming months, we’ll continue to release new features and partner integrations, expand into new countries and hire across all areas of our organisation to deliver our Connected Operations platform to European customers.
If you are inspired by our purpose of building a safer, more efficient and more sustainable world, and want the opportunity to contribute to our success, then we’d love for you to join us. Take a look at our or reach out to our recruiting team on .
