Samsara was awarded two Gold and two Silver awards for New Product of the Year and Most Innovative Tech Company of the Year in the 16th Annual American Business Awards® today.

The American Business Awards are the U.S.A.’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.

Samsara’s Vehicle Gateway won a Gold Stevie Award in the Transportation and Hardware categories, as well as a Silver Award in the Business-to-Business Product category.

The Vehicle Gateway (VGs), Samsara’s flagship hardware product, launched in the summer of 2017 and tracks engine and location data of vehicles in real-time, delivering valuable insights to a cloud-based dashboard that can be used to reduce costs and improve efficiency. When deployed across an entire fleet, VGs offer unprecedented fleet-wide, aggregated data about location, safety, maintenance requirements, and engine usage - enabling fleets to become safer, more profitable, more eco-friendly, and more effective.

Samsara was also honored as Most Innovative Tech Company of the Year. This recognition is the result of introducing 6 new hardware products, quadrupling in size to over 200 employees, adding over 1,700 customers each quarter, and delivering millions of dollars in savings to customers. The company's customer-centric approach to product development makes it simple and affordable for organizations in a wide range of industries to harness the power of IoT. From schools who want to see if their buses picked up students on time, to municipalities who want to know which roads the snow plows have cleared, to food distributors who need to know trailer temperature to guarantee food safety, Samsara supports them all.

Over 3,700 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories.
